It’s important to keep your bike clean and well maintained – doing so will prolong its life considerably. What to use, when cleaning or lubricating our bike? We've heard a lot of answers, from everywhere. But does it sound seriously, when hearing about arms lubricants or windows cleaning detergents. Of course not. Because you love your bike. The answer is Weldtite.
Established 1939, the company produces a complete range of tools and products to ensure your bike runs better for longer.
Let us start cleaning. Sometimes situation looks really frustrating, while looking at the chain, the freewheel and the crankset. To clean oily components, use Citrus Degreaser. Available either as a liquid or a handy spray, it’s specially formulated to degrease chains and gears..
Then spray the whole bike with Dirtwash to bring a sparkle back to the paintwork and any polished metal
parts. Then rinse with clean water. Dirtwash is the ultimate mechanic approved total bike cleaner.
For the disk brakes use Disc Brake Cleaner. A heavy duty cleaning spray for disc brake systems and brake cleaners.
When the work is done, use the consumer friendly hand cleaner containing natural citrus
extracts to wash your hands.
Striking results. We should have known earlier about Dirtwash?
Next is lubricating, if necessary. A farewell to arms! Weldtite lubricants are formulated especially for bikes.
At the heart of the Weldtite lubricant range is the award-winning TF2 aerosol spray – the world’s best selling Teflon®
based lubricant spray. Use TF2 before every ride – lightly spray the brake lever
pivots, gear pivots and chain to force out damp. The Teflon® film it leaves behind will carry on protecting your bike for many miles.
Use SMAX for the chain. Dry Wax with Krytox® Ideal for summer use as it gives a low rolling resistance and a very high level of protection. It lasts a long time and because it’s a wax it doesn’t drip off.
The lythium grease is suitable for use on headsets, wheel bearings and bottom brackets.
The high performance, specially formulated red grease made with Teflon® is usable on shock forks.. You can apply grease with your fingers, but for a less messy and more accurate method the Weldtite Grease Gun is ideal.
The Weldtite range is not over. You could see all of the the products on the company's website: http://www.weldtite.co.uk
